Fatal Falls Church Car vs Motorcycle Collision

On Monday, close to 4:00 in the afternoon, Green-Smith, a 20-year-old Falls Church resident, was riding his motorcycle down the eastern lanes of Arlington Boulevard (also referred to as Route 50) when he approached the intersection of Arlington Boulevard and South Street. It is not known exactly what occurred next to cause the following incident, but the report from the Fairfax County Police say that it was while Green-Smith was in the intersection that he collided with a car.

At the moment, an investigation into the incident is underway, although it is still in its most nascent stages and little of their current findings have been released to the general public. What we do know is that after the accident took place emergency teams were called in to the scene. Rushing to the clearly injured Green-Smith the paramedics did everything that they could to save the man, but the injures he had sustained as a result of the crash were too severe and he was declared dead at the crash location, before he could even be taken by ambulance to a hospital.

The driver of the car involved, an individual who has yet to be named, was not injured as a result of their collision with the motorcycle. The report indicated that there were perhaps other individuals inside of the vehicle. They, too, were not injured in the collision.

The Fairfax County Police Department's initial report also indicated that it is not believed that any alcohol or other illicit substances were the likely cause of the accident. Speed may have contributed to the crash, but the Fairfax County Police have also stated that the investigation into the scene has yet to uncover decisive evidence to point to this as the primary cause.

This means that the death of Green-Smith has likely left numerous people bereft and searching for answers. Accidents such as this one require somewhat lengthy work by members of the law enforcement while they attempt to unravel the various threads of the narrative and uncover the precise circumstances of the incident in question.
