MacDowell Law Group, P.C. is pleased to announce its annual scholarship opportunity designed to support students pursuing an education in law or a related field. We are committed to supporting the next generation of legal professionals and encouraging students who demonstrate academic achievement, dedication, and a commitment to their future careers.

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to help a deserving student with tuition, academic fees, books, supplies, living expenses, and other educational costs. Applicants and recipients are responsible for complying with all applicable IRS and state tax requirements.

Scholarship Overview

One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an eligible student to help offset the costs of higher education, including tuition, academic fees, books, supplies, and living expenses.

Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and submit a complete application with the required supporting documentation by May 1, 2027.

Eligibility

To be considered for the MacDowell Law Group, P.C. 2027 Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States.
• Be accepted into an accredited undergraduate program in pre-law or a related field, or be accepted and enrolled in an accredited law school for the Fall 2027 semester.
• Demonstrate academic achievement with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the undergraduate level.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit the following documents by May 1, 2027 to be eligible for consideration:

• An up-to-date resume.
• A 500- to 1,000-word essay, typed and single-spaced in 12-point font, addressing a topic related to the applicant’s intended area of legal practice.
• Complete and current certified school transcripts from high school for incoming college freshmen, or college transcripts for all other applicants.
• An acceptance letter from a U.S.-accredited college or law school.
• Proof of legal residency in the United States, such as a birth certificate, passport, or permanent resident card.

Scholarship Award

• The $1,000 scholarship may be used toward tuition and associated educational expenses, including living expenses, books, and supplies.
• Scholarship funds will be issued directly to the selected recipient in the form of a $1,000 check.
• Recipients are responsible for complying with all applicable IRS and state tax regulations and may be required to provide receipts or other documentation demonstrating the use of scholarship funds.
• The scholarship recipient will be notified by email and/or telephone around June 2027, with the award distributed in July 2027.
• By accepting the scholarship, the recipient agrees to allow MacDowell Law Group, P.C. to use their name and likeness for scholarship-related publicity and marketing purposes and agrees to submit a video acceptance upon receiving the award.

Application Deadline

All completed applications and required supporting documents must be submitted electronically by May 1, 2027. All attachments must be submitted in PDF format.
