Serious crash leaves 2 dead, 4 injured in Virginia

| Oct 16, 2020 | Auto Accidents |

A serious collision can cause debilitating or fatal injuries for the people involved in the crash. Victims may struggle with life-changing injuries, while others mourn the loss of their loved ones.

Sadly, two people passed away in a crash in Virginia recently when a driver who was traveling at a high speed crossed the double solid line on Route 651. That vehicle went on to strike an eastbound Honda Accord, leading to the head-on crash.

The Ford went on to roll several times after leaving the roadway. The driver, 19, suffered serious injuries but was flown to the hospital in Fairfax for treatment. His passenger, 19, passed away from her injuries at the scene. Another passenger in his vehicle also passed away.

The 44-year-old driver of the Honda suffered serious injuries and was also flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment. Her passengers, a 48-year-old man and 13-year-old child, both suffered life-threatening injuries and were life-flighted as well.

Thus far, the Virginia State Police have only reported that charges are pending the completion of the crash investigation.

Crashes like this are devastating to those who are involved as well as their families. It’s important for you to know that you can pursue a claim if you’re the victim of a collision like this. If you lose a loved one, you may be able to pursue a claim on the behalf of your family. Similarly, if you are killed, your family should have the opportunity to seek fair compensation for their loss.

Car crashes don’t have to happen, and it’s only fair that the people who cause them are held responsible for their negligent actions.
