Snowfall Causes Single-Car Crash in Springfield

While Virginia possess a more temperate climate than states in New England, it still receives its fair share of snow, especially now as the global climate is shifting in alarming ways. Already this year we have seen numerous snowfalls and blizzards throughout Fairfax County, with thankfully very few incidents such as car accidents resulting from this hazardous weather pattern.

Fairfax County Police Search for Driver Responsible for Hit-and-Run

Police throughout Fairfax County are on the lookout for a driver believe to be responsible for a hit-and-run accident that took place last Monday. According to the official report, the incident happened early in the morning along the Fairfax County Parkway and involved at least two cars.

Multi Car Crash on Valentine's Day in Fairfax County

On Wednesday, Valentine's Day, drivers in Springfield were making their way home after a long day of work when a frightening crash took place on Interstate 95 that resulted in numerous delays, although thankfully no injuries. According to the Fairfax County Police, the crash involved several cars and took place in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95, shortly before the interstate reaches the County Parkway. The report stated that the crash occurred close to 5:00pm.

Fatal Christmas Day Crash in Springfield

On Christmas Day, while millions of people throughout Virginia were celebrating the holidays, singing carols, and opening presents, an unnamed individual was driving through Springfield when they lost control of their car and crashed. The Fairfax County Police issued an initial report which details the most important facts around this case, although the report makes clear to point out that the entire incident is still under investigation.

San Jose to adopt 'social host' law

San Jose is set to adopt a law holding parents liable for parties with underage drinking in their homes. The City Council is expected to approve the "social host" ordinance at their next Tuesday meeting. Under the "social host" ordinance, homeowners could face fines and other charges if underage partygoers gather and drink alcohol on their property.
