Issue: We represented Wife in Divorce trial in Loudoun County. Loudoun County Circuit Court Judge originally awarded the Wife, who was a stay-at-home mom of a twenty-two-year marriage, who was disabled at the time of hearing, only five years of spousal support.
Result: In a 2017, appeal to the Court of Appeals of Virginia, Mr. MacDowell successfully overturned the lower court’s ruling. Mr. MacDowell argued the trial court’s ruling was an abuse of discretion under the circumstances of the case.
